Domino Mosaics

Domino Artwork creates portrait mosaics from dominoes. What makes their work challenging is that they always use complete sets of 9 x 9 dominoes. This complicates the design since, for example, if an image requires 48 complete sets then it must incorporate 48 blank dominoes, 48 dominoes that are blank on one side and have one dot on the other, 48 dominoes that are blank on one side and have two dots on the other, and so on. The web site claims that they use Integer Programming to help them determine how to optimally position the dominoes. Sample mosaics can be found here. Anyone have 12 complete sets of dominoes that they aren’t using? (Via BoingBoing)
