First snow of 2004

We woke up this morning with a few inches of snow on the ground. The first snowfall of the season. It’s sunny and about 40°F right now so the snow probably won’t stay on the ground for long. It’s a lot more than the usual dusting that we get for the first snow.

My sister moved from Massachusetts down to Florida this summer. Her daughter already misses the snow. She sent me an email today asking about it. It’s hard to be as excited about snow as an adult. The roads were pretty slippery this morning which can be a real pain. The Farmer’s Almanac predicts a colder- and snowier-than-normal season so we have more excitement ahead.
