History’s Worst Software Bugs

Wired News lists their choices for the 10 worst software bugs of all time … so far. Although the author talks about considering bug severity, some on the list are more notorious than severe. For example, the Intel Pentium floating point divide bug (aka Pentium FDIV bug) was embarrassing and costly for Intel but had no real impact on users.
