According to the Boy Genius Report, the Palm Pre may launch on Sprint anywhere from March to May. (I’d bet on May or later). I’m still locked into a Sprint contract with my Treo 755p through August but even if I was off contract, I’d wait a while for Palm to get the early kinks out of the Pre.
